(EPA-EFE photo)KUALA LUMPUR: The family of jailed Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim called for the government on Tuesday to guarantee that he will receive required medical treatment without any interference when he undergoes shoulder surgery on Sunday. Any slight movement of the right shoulder or even prolonged writing causes pain," the family said. He will be admitted to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on Wednesday for pre-surgery evaluation before undergoing surgery on Sunday. The family also wants human rights organisations to have access to Anwar "to monitor his status throughout the surgery and post-surgery rehabilitation."
